The experience is hands-on and is a unique learning atmosphere. The Historic Wagner Farm is another great place for kids. The preserved homestead is 18 acres of fun and education. Kids can milk cows, see animals, and discover rural farm life.
The Grove has 145 acres of prairie land for preservation and education. Visitors can tour the historic Kennicott House and Redfield Estate, complete with some furnishings original to the homes. There is a greenhouse, a nature center, and acres of mature oak trees and wetlands.
Gallery Park at the Glen was once a Navel Air Station. Today it has a lake with paved walking and biking trails. There is an amphitheater for summer concerts, a golf club, a swimming pool, playgrounds, and tennis courts. It also has an active senior center, a children’s garden, and more.
